About Anne

Anne Greule is a historian and postdoctoral Research Associate affiliated with the Research Unit on Voluntariness since April 2023. She is holding a one-year initialization scholarship at the University of Erfurt and her research focuses on competitiveness and self-optimization in the Early Middle Ages, the history of knowledge in the Middle Ages, medieval sermons and their transmission. Her dissertation on “Preaching Transformation. Alan of Lille and the Paris Schools in the Second Half of the 12th Century” will be published within the series “Pariser Historische Studien” of the German Historical Institute Paris.
