About Alexandra

Alexandra Oeser is associate professor (maîtresse de conference HdR) of Sociology at the University of Paris Nanterre and joins the Research Unit on Voluntariness as Mercator-Fellow for the summer term of 2022. Her main research interests lie in political sociology, gender and sexuality studies, everyday history and sociology and history of emotions. Her research bridges German and French sociology and history. Key publications include When will we talk about Hitler (Berghahn, 2019) and the section on History in the co-edited book Trickbox of Memory (Punctum books, 2020).
