About Silke

Silke van Dyk holds the Chair of Political Sociology at the Institute of Sociology, Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Her research focuses on political sociology and social inequality, the sociology of social policy, property, and the sociology of age and demography. Her most recent book (co-authored by Tilman Reitz and Hartmut Rosa), Nach dem Privateigentum? Güter, Infrastrukturen und Weltverhältnisse im Kapitalismus des 21. Jahrhunderts, has been published in June 2024 by Campus.
