About Niklas

Niklas Petersen is a research associate at the Institute for Social Sciences at Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. After studying sociology in Jena, he earned his Ph.D. in Göttingen on approaches to dementia within active society (Aktivgesellschaft) in medical and nursing contexts and spent three years conducting research in Montreal, Canada, as part of his doctoral studies. His research focuses on the sociology of medicine and nursing, political sociology, and qualitative methods in social and health research.
