About Pauline

Pauline Fischer is a Research Associate at the Chair of North American History, University of Erfurt, and Co-Investigator in the Research Unit on Voluntariness since 2024. Her research for her dissertation project focuses on voluntariness and health in the United States around 1865. Prior to working for two political think tanks and a political foundation, she studied North American Studies at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena and at Central Michigan University.
